In a forceful address to the United Nations General Assembly, U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a nearly hour-long speech sharply criticizing global climate initiatives, the UN’s role in shaping environmental policy, and Europe’s handling of immigration and energy.
Trump described climate change as “the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world,” accusing international organizations of promoting what he called a misleading environmental agenda that he believes has harmed national economies. “All of these predictions made by the United Nations and many others, often for bad reasons, were wrong,” he said. “If you don’t get away from this green scam, your country is going to fail.”
Turning to Europe, Trump warned of a “double-tailed monster” a term he used to describe the combined impact of liberal immigration policies and aggressive green energy strategies. “I love Europe, and I hate to see it being devastated by energy and immigration,” he said. “You’re doing it because you want to be nice… and you’re destroying your heritage.”
He criticized what he called a “globalist migration agenda,” urging European nations to reconsider open-border policies and take stronger control over immigration. Trump argued that without decisive action to address what he termed an “unmitigated immigration disaster” and a “fake energy catastrophe,” European countries risk losing their cultural identity and economic stability.
