
The countdown has officially begun in just 100 days, the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will kick off in Morocco, marking the return of the continent’s premier football tournament to North Africa for the first time in nearly four decades.
From December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026, Morocco will host what the Confederation of African Football (CAF) promises will be the most spectacular AFCON yet. With ambitions to surpass the record-breaking 2023 tournament which drew 1.5 billion TV viewers and 2.4 billion digital interactions CAF is setting the stage for a global celebration of African football.
It’s been 37 years since Morocco last welcomed AFCON, and anticipation is building fast. CAF is rallying fans across the continent to prepare for a month of unforgettable matches, fierce rivalries, and a showcase of talent that will unite Africa and captivate the world.
