Chief Bright Akpojotor, a prominent member of the All-Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta State, has praised Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, for his vision and dedication to establishing the APC as the leading political party in the state.

This statement was made during an interview with Africa24hrs news on March 10, 2025.

Chief Akpojotor characterized Festus Keyamo (SAN) as a grassroots politician who is in tune with the needs and aspirations of his constituents. He emphasized, “The saying that all politics is local carries significant meaning in Nigeria’s political context, highlighting the necessity of grassroots involvement for any political leader seeking to achieve relevance and popularity. Festus Keyamo exemplifies this type of leadership.”

Discussing the minister’s unwavering commitment to reorganizing the APC, Akpojotor noted, “As the highest-ranking APC official in Delta State, Keyamo is dedicated to promoting unity within the party by reaching out to former members who left due to various issues. His aim is to reintegrate them into the party, ensuring that the APC reestablishes itself as the dominant political force in Delta, freeing the people from the mismanagement linked to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).”

Furthermore, Chief Akpojotor recognized Keyamo’s recent initiative to reintegrate Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru into the APC as a strategic decision, considering Ogboru’s reputation as an effective mobilizer and his previous successes in the political arena, where he was a significant figure in the state’s political landscape.

Additionally, he recognizes that Festus Keyamo exemplifies authentic leadership within the APC in Delta State, showcasing a dedication to working alongside other party leaders. He refers to them as a “college of leaders,” a group to which he belongs. “I appreciate his collaborative approach, bringing together leaders with common visions and goals for the benefit of the APC, which will ultimately yield positive outcomes for the citizens once power transitions from the PDP.”

He further stated that Keyamo represents the attributes of a remarkable military leader, one who does not fight alone or with an untrained force. Rather, he partners with fellow generals, each skilled in military tactics, to collaboratively develop and refine their strategies, thereby increasing their likelihood of success.

In conclusion, Chief Akpojotor urged the people of Delta to support Olorogun Festus Keyamo. His leadership is crucial for rejuvenating the APC in our state and for removing the corrupt influence of the PDP from our governance, thereby facilitating significant progress in capital, human, and infrastructural development.
