Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly recognized as 2Baba or Tuface, has revealed his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia.

Annie and Tuface, one of Nigeria’s most prominent celebrity pairs, tied the knot in 2012 and are parents to two daughters.

In an Instagram post, the singer of “African Queen” disclosed that they had been living apart for a while and were in the process of pursuing a divorce.

Although the post was subsequently removed, 2Baba later shared a video affirming the accuracy of the information.

Regarded as a trailblazer in the Nigerian music industry, 2Baba has significantly influenced the global rise of artists such as Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

The couple’s wedding in 2013 was a high-profile event, attracting considerable attention in Nigeria despite being held in Dubai.

Although he announced a name change to 2Baba in 2014, he remains widely known as Tuface.

The announcement of their separation has taken fans and followers by surprise, especially since the couple had previously navigated challenges and are considered one of Nigeria’s most enduring celebrity unions.

The former member of Plantashun Boyz has indicated plans to hold a press conference to share further insights, emphasizing his intention to communicate directly with his fans and music enthusiasts worldwide.

2Baba announced on Instagram that he and Annie Macauley have been apart for some time and have now initiated divorce proceedings.

Shortly after, the post was removed, and a follow-up message claimed that the account had been compromised.

However, 2Baba later went live on Instagram to reaffirm his original statement regarding their separation.

“No one hacked my account; I stand by what I said, and I come in peace,” he stated in the broadcast.

The couple has also severed their social media connections, as they have unfollowed each other on their respective accounts, further supporting the artist’s claims about their split.

In the music video for his hit song, African Queen, Annie portrayed his romantic interest, and it is widely believed that their relationship began to flourish from that point.
