Prominent Nigerian gospel musician and Pastor Nathaniel Bassey has received an invitation to perform at the U.S. Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast scheduled for January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
This event, which is a non-political and faith-oriented gathering organized by Reverend Merrie Turner, will take place just before the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance.
Hosted in the Waldorf Astoria Presidential Ballroom, the breakfast will feature distinguished speakers such as Dr. Alveda King and Pastor Mario Bramnick. Bassey, known for his international worship movement, the Hallelujah Challenge, is set to play a significant role in promoting spiritual rejuvenation.
In recognition of his impactful ministry, the Mayor of Albany, New York, proclaimed October 6 as “Pastor Nathaniel Bassey Day” in 2024, highlighting his influence through music and faith on a global scale.
The prayer breakfast emphasizes the vital role of spiritual leadership and intercession in guiding U.S. governance, and Bassey’s participation reflects his significant contribution to the global worship community.
