Around one hundred people gathered in the streets of downtown Tunis on Monday to protest against what demonstrators described as American and Israeli aggression toward Iran and to express solidarity with the Iranian people.
Protesters marched through the Tunisian capital waving Iranian and Palestinian flags while holding portraits of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The demonstration reflected growing anger among some groups in the region over escalating tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
“The region has become a real hell. Under these conditions, Iran has no choice but to defend itself,” one protester told Reporters
Similar demonstrations condemning the actions of the United States and Israel have also been reported in other parts of the world. Protesters gathered outside the White House in Washington, D.C., as well as in San Francisco and Mexico City, calling for an end to the conflict and expressing support for Iran.
