Nigerian Presidency Staff Murdered

New details have emerged over what led to the death of Laetitia Dagan, an assistant director at the State House, Abuja, who was murdered on Monday night, February 17, in her apartment. Africa24hrs.com reports that Dagan was murdered by some Yahoo boys living around her residence.

The deceased had reportedly complained that some Yahoo boys around her residence were making her uncomfortable.

She allegedly later reported the development to the police and the suspected criminals were arrested. They were, however, later freed and got to know that their arrest was prompted by the deceased

The assailants, thus, decided to revenge by subjecting Dagan to the agony of slow death. She was said to have first been tied in her apartment and subjected her to various indecent acts before strangulating her to death and setting the body ablaze.
Africa24hrs.com reports that the deceased’s gateman who reside in the same compound has also been arrested by security operatives.

According to a statement by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) command’s spokesman, Anjuguri Manzah, the arrest followed a preliminary probe by the criminal investigation department of the force. The police added that the suspect whose identity was not revealed conspired with others, who are still at large, to carry out the crime.

The statement, also, warned members of the public to overlook inaccurate stories on social media about the murder of Dagan so as not to pre-empt investigation.

She described Dagan as a dedicated and hardworking person who through her days as a worker in the House lived a good life.

May her soul Rest In Peace
